Spring '19

This issue announced a significant construction initiative for the school. We were inspired by the potential that such extensive development would bring to Westminster's campus. We employed negative space and a subtle UV gloss treatment to emphasize the concept of space as a fundamental tool for education and growth.

This issue offers an in-depth exploration of Generation Z, the emerging generation ready to make a significant impact as they transition into adulthood. Our objective was to represent Gen Z free from the stereotypes commonly associated with this cohort. By employing a collage approach, we were able to incorporate various symbols that are integral to the Gen Z identity while avoiding an overreliance on any single motif.

Spring '20

This issue went to print the same week that COVID lockdowns started sweeping the nation. What has become the most ironic design of my career began as an exploration into the processes by which Westminster closely follows the science of teaching and learning to "decode" the future and prepare their students for the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow.

Fall '20

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Westminster was innovating and adapting every day in order to meet and overcome new challenges. As indicated by the subtitle of this cover issue, it was "A year of radical shifts no turning back." The cover and accompanying story were crafted with a sense of gravitas, aiming to underscore this unprecedented and remarkable moment in history.

Spring '21

With new COVID-19 protocols in place, the Spring 2021 issue of Westminster Magazine was designed to provide reassurance and uplift the extended Westminster community. We employed isometric illustrations to effectively convey how the school and its community came together during these unprecedented times.

Fall '21

The grand opening ceremony of the new Barge Commons building on campus was a significant event and this issue features an in-depth look at the details and design of this newly established landmark.

Spring '22

This edition of the Westminster Magazine examines the legacy and impact the school has had over its 70-year history. It features an illustration by a cherished alumnus and emphasizes both the significant historical contributions of the school and the promising future that lies ahead.
